Privacy notice
This notice explains how Property Confidence processes address and report-access data for the Planning foundation and paid reports.
Address processing
Full selected address information, UPRN and selected address point are processed to identify the confirmed property and run address-level Planning checks. We also use the postcode you provide for Crime and Flood checks.
Address matching processor
Ideal Postcodes acts as the address-matching processor when you search for and resolve an address. We do not rely on browser-supplied map coordinates for that matching.
Energy certificate information: when you confirm a matched address, we look up the property's energy certificate on the Energy Performance of Buildings Register (England and Wales) and include the certificate details in your report. We do not send your name or contact details to the register.
Abuse prevention
Pseudonymous HMAC limiter identifiers are processed for security, abuse prevention and paid API cost protection. Raw IP addresses are not retained in the limiter table. Limiter records are deleted after 24 hours.
Retention
Full-address information, UPRN, selected address point and address-bearing report artefacts are retained for 13 months from report creation. Viewing a magic link does not restart or extend the retention period.
Magic-link access
After payment, access to your full report uses a magic-link token sent to your email and, where applicable, returned to your browser for the first redirect. The report UUID alone is not enough to open the report.
